Research Interests
Research focus on International Relations, International and Comparative Political Economy and applied Game Theory. Current research interests include the relationship between trade and conflict, the use of economic policies in international politics, the public choice of alliances, and the effect of institutions on voting and popularity functions.
Co-author (with Professor Gerald Schneider) of International Relations: An Introduction (Sage, forthcoming 2004), and co-editor (with Dr. Michael Taylor) of Economic Voting (Routledge 2002). Published articles in Public Choice, Journal of Peace Research, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and Electoral Studies. Associate editor of Journal of Peace Research.
