Nils Petter Gleditsch was awarded the Lewis Fry Richardson Lifetime Achievement Award at the SGIR conference in Turin. The prize is awarded tri-annually to distinguished scholars who have pursued innovative avenues of research in the tradition of the eminent British meteorologist and peace researcher Lewis F. Richardson.
